Salsaché — Salsa School in Nottingham

Salsaché is a salsa school in Nottingham, founded by Tamba in 2012. We teach Salsa, Cuban Salsa, Rueda, Crossbody Salsa, Chachacha and Mambo, with classes for complete beginners through to experienced dancers.

Whether you have never danced before or you want to develop your technique, musicality and confidence, our aim is simple: to help you enjoy dancing and become the dancer you want to be.

You don’t need previous dance experience, and you don’t need to bring a partner. Many people come to Salsaché on their own, and partners are rotated during classes so everyone can participate.

We offer different styles and levels throughout the week, from beginner salsa classes to progressive classes for dancers who want to develop further. Alongside our regular classes, Salsaché also brings people together through social dancing, parties, workshops and special events.

Why the name Salsaché?

The name Salsaché combines our love of Salsa with the idea of Aché.

Aché is associated with divine grace, knowledge, authority, wisdom and the inherited experience of those who came before us. It also represents the life force, strength, power and vitality that we possess.

Aché is growth. Aché is Power.

At Salsaché, we believe that everyone has their own way of connecting with music and expressing themselves through dance. You don’t have to dance like anyone else. You have the power to dance like YOU.

Founded by Tamba

Salsaché was founded in Nottingham, UK, in 2012 by Tamba, an international salsa teacher, performer and dancer based in the UK.

From the beginning, Tamba’s vision for Salsaché has been to help as many people as possible access the world of dancing. He believes that dancing can create greater understanding, inclusion and connection, while giving people the confidence and freedom to express themselves.

That philosophy continues to shape Salsaché today: making salsa accessible, creating a welcoming environment and helping people discover the enjoyment that dancing can bring.

Your first step

If you’ve never danced salsa before, you can simply start. You don’t need a partner, you don’t need previous dance experience, and you don’t need to already know how to dance.

Come to your first class, learn the basics, meet people and discover what salsa feels like for you.
